Tommy, Tigers, and Thoughts of the Past…

HAPPY Birthday TOMMY!! DEDUCTION DINGLE

Dear Reader:

Just a few days ago we recognized Walsh’s ( Kringle Dingle) birthday on the 23rd and I brought him home on Christmas Day.

Today is my youngest’s son ( Tommy’s birthday ( Deduction Dingle) and we brought him home on New Year’s Day! Lots of fun memories!

But this year to add even more fun to his birthday… The Tigers are playing Kentucky in the Gator Bowl this afternoon! So exciting! 🤞🤞🤞

Go Tigers!
Play hard and ” Grinchy” today! 👍👊

For mothers… adult ” children’s” birthdays are spent in memories… so with the help of Doodle sending pictures of Tommy at his grandparents ( Poppy and Dee Dee’s house) growing up and playing with Doodle’s youngest daughter ( Katherine ( Kitty Kat) about a year or so younger … blessed with the best grandparents ever!

Dee Dee and Tommy

Tommy and “Kitty Kat “

Then … years later Tommy met Kaitlyn in Law School and as the saying goes… “the rest is history”……starting with a honeymoon in Dingle Ireland followed by subsequent returns!

Happy Birthday Tommy!
Such lucky dogs who end up with Tommy and Kaitlyn as parents who provide ” forever homes” for older dogs whom they adopt when no one else has!

So until tomorrow…

Go into the world and do well but more importantly go into the world and keep doing good!!!!!

I love you Tommy! Happy Birthday! Love Mom💗😘💗

About Becky Dingle

I was born a Tarheel but ended up a Sandlapper. My grandparents were cotton farmers in Laurens, South Carolina and it was in my grandmother’s house that my love of storytelling began beside an old Franklin stove. When I graduated from Laurens High School, I attended Erskine College (Due West of what?) and would later get my Masters Degree in Education/Social Studies from Charleston Southern. I am presently an adjunct professor/clinical supervisor at CSU and have also taught at the College of Charleston. For 28 years I taught Social Studies through storytelling. My philosophy matched Rudyard Kipling’s quote: “If history were taught in the form of stories, it would never be forgotten.” Today I still spread this message through workshops and presentations throughout the state. The secret of success in teaching social studies is always in the story. I want to keep learning and being surprised by life…it is the greatest teacher. Like Kermit said, “When you’re green you grow, when you’re ripe you rot.”
