Just a quick note to say that all went well with my brother’s surgery-it was a long night and long day-had planned to send some pictures but my brother!/ internet isn’t working….
I just want to thank everyone for their prayers, calls, love and concern!
I will be staying a little longer since Ben can’t drive for three days and has dressings that need attention. Hopefully tomorrow I can figure out the internet problem here and send a longer post with photos!
So until tomorrow thank you God for guiding your instrument’ hands ( surgeons) and bringing Ben home again to us.
” Today is my favorite day”
About Becky Dingle
I was born a Tarheel but ended up a Sandlapper. My grandparents
were cotton farmers in Laurens, South Carolina and it was in my
grandmother’s house that my love of storytelling began beside an old
Franklin stove. When I graduated from Laurens High School, I attended
Erskine College (Due West of what?) and would later get my Masters
Degree in Education/Social Studies from Charleston Southern. I am
presently an adjunct professor/clinical supervisor at CSU and have also
taught at the College of Charleston.
For 28 years I taught Social Studies through storytelling. My philosophy
matched Rudyard Kipling’s quote: “If history were taught in the form of
stories, it would never be forgotten.” Today I still spread this message
through workshops and presentations throughout the state. The secret
of success in teaching social studies is always in the story.
I want to keep learning and being surprised by life…it is the greatest
teacher. Like Kermit said, “When you’re green you grow, when you’re
ripe you rot.”

Healing prayers for Ben & prayers for you, also, as you stay on to care for him. I only have one brother & I know I would be at his side in a minute, if he needed me. Blessings to both of you.
At this stage of life as our families dwindle…we come to appreciate and savor time together…even the difficult challenge times….glad I could go and always happy to be home again knowing Ben is on the road to recovery.
So thankful all is well. I was concerned this morning when there was no entry. Prsyers for Ben’s recovery and healing.
Been a busy past few days…lot of things going on all at the same time. but such is life..wi-fi problems prevented me from being able to post…but life goes on and that is the most important thing. Thanks for your prayers and concerns.
Glad Ben’s surgery was successful. My prayers are for him and you.
Thank you Jo…such a relief….modern medicine is such a miracle.
