Do You See What I See?

Number 3 bloom has been opening all day!

Dear Reader!

God’s gifts to us in the form of the ” beauty of of the earth ” unveils the many God-given miracles bestowed upon mankind.

As I have watched the ” hidden treasures ” in Susan Swicegood’s planter … they are all “sneakily” blooming in their own domain.. not just three Big white Blooms ! ( soon to be five.) ) True Christmas miracles to me!

As much as I love this wonderful phrase ” Christmas gives us the opportunity to pause and reflect on the important things around us.“…I am finding little time to pause …undergoing new series of tests and procedures to try to figure out what my body is doing and what it’s not. Quite literally only God knows. And that’s fine with me.

And God, via Marcia Temple , sent me a precious little guardian angel in the most original Christmas card that arrived yesterday.

An adorable Christmas card with the cutest guardian angel.
Let us all look for the glow of our personal guardian angel … and rejoice!

And speaking of arriving… Susan Cadwell came for a visit after a root canal yesterday-tough love! But we had a great visit and Susan left so many goodies -and shared memories and family photos.

Winnie’s new Christmas sweater
… and the cards keep rolling in to my delight!

One more day and then the real craziness begins… Christmas music with the family at Walsh and Mollie’s church Saturday and following that… the 23rd is also Walsh’s birthday! ” Kringle Dingle!” Happy Birthday time. ( Tommy’s birthday follows on December 29th ( ” Deduction” Dingle.) Bad timing and Mom has no one to blame but herself… 😂

Happy Birthday Woo Woo!

So until tomorrow…

Let this be true too throughout our New Year … a great way to start 2024!
” Today is my favorite day!”

About Becky Dingle

I was born a Tarheel but ended up a Sandlapper. My grandparents were cotton farmers in Laurens, South Carolina and it was in my grandmother’s house that my love of storytelling began beside an old Franklin stove. When I graduated from Laurens High School, I attended Erskine College (Due West of what?) and would later get my Masters Degree in Education/Social Studies from Charleston Southern. I am presently an adjunct professor/clinical supervisor at CSU and have also taught at the College of Charleston. For 28 years I taught Social Studies through storytelling. My philosophy matched Rudyard Kipling’s quote: “If history were taught in the form of stories, it would never be forgotten.” Today I still spread this message through workshops and presentations throughout the state. The secret of success in teaching social studies is always in the story. I want to keep learning and being surprised by life…it is the greatest teacher. Like Kermit said, “When you’re green you grow, when you’re ripe you rot.”
