Chapel of Hope Stories

Dear Reader:

Two nights and days in my new home and still busy, busy busy…besides lots of medical visits -three different nurse/ therapists in the room yesterday!

The only “downer” -no hot water in the bathroom or kitchen… maintenance man called-hope he gets here tomorrow !

But all the large boxes of furniture that came yesterday were put together piece by piece by Tommy and Mandy! Here are some more results!

Everyday …more surprises arrive … Mandy and I went to Publix yesterday to pick up” doo-dads” and fill the cabinets with snacks and sandwiches!

And you friends and readers keep my faith in a future …alive and strong!

So until tomorrow… it’s time to let the spirit of Christmas in my new home!

Dear Reader:

Most of yesterday my family ( in their mother’s new abode) was busy… everyone but me (I wasn’t allowed) -busy moving furniture and all kinds of things-Started working early in the day for the simple fact that this family loves their Clemson Tigers! Big game last night…. and all day more Christmas decor from Susan and others-I was allowed a sneak peek and was filled with love and genuine gratitude!

Then I was invited to Tommy and Kaitlyn’s to watch the game at their house spending the night.

And a new FLOORLAMP! Thanks Kaitlyn!

And so tomorrow …love is all around!!!

But it was during the opening prayer when a phone rang that needed immediate attention . All of a sudden a sweet potato casserole in the oven was smoking! It was on fire with smoke circling and attempts to put it out extremely difficult!

Here’s when real character evolves/within a person …you laugh… hysterically and all is right with the world!

Angels do not pray but BUT they never cease to PRAISE!

Dear Reader:

This Thanksgiving …presents special circumstances … the kind that catches one off guard and forces the deepest of self-evaluations.

This Thanksgiving elevates Hope, Faith, and God’s eternal love. I know God is with me and as long as I keep giving God all my sacred gratitude and love in return… no matter how history records the stats at the end of my life…or whenever … that arrives… I will never be alone!

Look at this beautiful ( my favorite color yellow) prayer shawl Anne made and gave me. ) !So special!

Within the next three or four days I will begin moving in with the help of my family new decorations and furnishings 😌

So Father lead me to my final earthy home until I join my Heavenly Home!

My hospital bed and bed table will be delivered free of charge Friday and add from my favorite things…. my most favorite things-Gratitude!!!!!!!!

I will have so much love and help!

Starting the move Friday after Thanksgiving!

Dear Reader:

Moving Day is getting closer and will always mark an unique memory around Thanksgiving!

I was met at my old home on Rainbow Road with friends Anne and Kathy. Tommy and Walsh were starting to cleanout… obviously emotions were scattered -from Summerville on the rainy day.

Anne, and Kathy met me at the house and Anne re-told our group the last Christmas story I told the Christmas Eve congregation !

In the meantime it started drizzling on the front porch harder…but we hung in there and had a wonderful time!

So until tomorrow… I want to accept a different perspective of positive change and add to my emotional and spiritual change-make the most of life! let God lead me on this new path!

I will always lie t the feet of God and praise Him!

I will always abide at the feet of Jesus where I will live forever in His Presence!

Susan and Bekah cleaned out Ben’s room … Ben is up to date with my prognosis and upbeat!
