Veterans , Courage, Sacrifice and Every day Heroes

Why do some people seem to have been born with a little something extra -perhaps the term is just ” divine grit” that will take you through any life challenge-a good way to recognize Veterans Day this year!

Yesterday my beloved Tigers won big and since Clemson started as a military school they put on a drama tribute to their veterans.

God…. I need rescuing A N D sustaining this Veterans Day!

Still love Joan’s creative take on the emoji prayer but instead of praying …. God is clapping for me! Cheering me on!!!!!!!!

I am going to give everything I can to restoring my health-I can God ….and the rest I live in my faith and trust in YOU ( like a child ‘ unblinking )

Honors and Rewards were given out Thursday-and Rutledge was highly recognized!

Lachlan made all A’s too and as his special tribute he honored Poppy Dingle ( Grand dad ) Poppy who saw much intensive action on an aircraft carrier.

So until tomorrow… Help me God!

Ben Ben! You are my hero! Happy Veterans Day!

About Becky Dingle

I was born a Tarheel but ended up a Sandlapper. My grandparents were cotton farmers in Laurens, South Carolina and it was in my grandmother’s house that my love of storytelling began beside an old Franklin stove. When I graduated from Laurens High School, I attended Erskine College (Due West of what?) and would later get my Masters Degree in Education/Social Studies from Charleston Southern. I am presently an adjunct professor/clinical supervisor at CSU and have also taught at the College of Charleston. For 28 years I taught Social Studies through storytelling. My philosophy matched Rudyard Kipling’s quote: “If history were taught in the form of stories, it would never be forgotten.” Today I still spread this message through workshops and presentations throughout the state. The secret of success in teaching social studies is always in the story. I want to keep learning and being surprised by life…it is the greatest teacher. Like Kermit said, “When you’re green you grow, when you’re ripe you rot.”
