Dear Reader:
Another perfect day with more God Winks than we could count at Edisto.
My first one started out as I drove to the King’s Market to pick up some of their delicious homemade casseroles to take home. Suddenly this row of gladioli popped into view-just beautiful! I had purposely mixed gladioli in my flower arrangement since they represented courage and bravery… now they were lining the road.
On the way home I stopped at the Cypress Trees entrance to the location where John and Mandy married. It brought back so many amazing memories.
When I got back we took our last trip to the beach-Brooke suggested I do a re-make of the earlier Carolina Girl photo! Again Covid disappeared from my memory as past retreats replaced the year in one nostalgic moment.
The tide was going out and the sun, surf, and sand turned our chronological years back in time and childhood delight!
Since Thursday was our last night we went to Ella and Ollies for our ‘ last supper.’
So until the tomorrow…isn’t it miraculous when dreams become reality and exceed expectations. This defines the 2021 spring retreat! We were aligned with the universe.
If Brooke and I could have written a script for this retreat it could not have played out any better… with the exception of missing our two beloved Ya’s Libby and Jackson!

Will take you out of the post with the beauty of Edisto!
Wonderful story about life Adventures and the beauty that surrounds us in nature and friendships. Miss seeing you! Let’s make a date soon!
We seem destined to keep missing each other….just left John and Mandy’s after lunch today to get home (been gone since Tuesday morning) and relieve my wonderful neighbor from watering my gardens…not an easy job…am so lucky to have someone like Vickie across the street from me. I kept the grandchildren while John and Mandy went out on their 13th anniversary last night…so I have a feeling I will sleep well tonight. 🙂
So happy you got to make the trip. Know you missed the other two. Jackson hasn’t moved to New Jersey, has she? I love the pictures particularly the Carolina Girl. I love Edisto. It isn’t too built up yet.
No…there are new buildings but nothing extreme and they were doing a booming business even this early in spring…apparently a lot of people were staying at Edisto for the PGA Tournament on the Ocean Course at Kiawah. …really boosted the economy in every direction and on several other family and resort islands. Jackson is living in NJ now with her son and family…she has not been able to walk alone since her surgery…she is so thankful for all the help…but she sure misses South Carolina and we miss her…but are planning to hopefully get her back down here in late fall.
❤
Wishing time stood still during happy times.
