St Jude Chapel of Hope

Today I was blessed to visit the Chapel of Hope in Trust,N.C. with my dear friend, Honey, and her friend ,Pat.  The little chapel was just the inspiration that I needed at this time in my life.
What a beautiful setting and the day was perfect for the scenic drive through the Western North Carolina Mountains.  The little chapel in honor of St. Jude had a feeling of hope there that is not describable in words but nonetheless, real and awesome.
Trust that when you go to Trust and the St.Jude Chapel of Hope your life will be enriched and blessed.  Loving Kindness to all who read this.  Winnie

About Becky Dingle

I was born a Tarheel but ended up a Sandlapper. My grandparents were cotton farmers in Laurens, South Carolina and it was in my grandmother’s house that my love of storytelling began beside an old Franklin stove. When I graduated from Laurens High School, I attended Erskine College (Due West of what?) and would later get my Masters Degree in Education/Social Studies from Charleston Southern. I am presently an adjunct professor/clinical supervisor at CSU and have also taught at the College of Charleston. For 28 years I taught Social Studies through storytelling. My philosophy matched Rudyard Kipling’s quote: “If history were taught in the form of stories, it would never be forgotten.” Today I still spread this message through workshops and presentations throughout the state. The secret of success in teaching social studies is always in the story. I want to keep learning and being surprised by life…it is the greatest teacher. Like Kermit said, “When you’re green you grow, when you’re ripe you rot.”

One Response to St Jude Chapel of Hope

Winnie   Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your feelings about St. Jude’s Chapel of Hope. I am so glad that you felt that special “feeling” once you saw and entered the chapel. You are right…it is indescribable….but it is something about the quiet serenity of the place that speaks volumes. I can hardly wait for the “rest of the story” as Honey described to me on the phone this evening. I had goose bumps!  What an amazing day all of you had!   Appreciatively , Becky  Date: Tue, 24 Aug 2010 15:29:26 -0700From: comment-CmquIHDhfqqvfyB@posterous.comTo: rebecca_dingle@hotmail.comSubject: Posterous Post (chapelofhopestories.com) | St Jude Chapel of Hope
